Aussie NSUers Association celebrates Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh’s Independence

Bangladesh is observing the Golden Jubilee of it’s Independence this year, and the alumni organisation of North South University in Australia, Aussie NSUers Association joined the country to celebrate and share the glory of this historic milestone. The association arranged a traditional celebratory event “Bangla Utshob” on Saturday 27 March to recognise and pay tribute to the magnificent history and cultural heritage of Bangladesh. The event was arranged for pre-registered guests only and standard COVID-safe procedures were maintained.

The event was arranged in Western Sydney Parklands and attended by the members and executives of the association along with their respective families and friends. It was a colourful day full of fun, festivities and delicious food brought by the members and families. The event was enjoyably arranged with musical and art performances by the members and children where they sang popular country songs of Bangladesh and the national anthems of Australia and Bangladesh. Beautifully curated banners, posters and traditional Bangladeshi art motifs were in display to add the festive spirit to the event. The food arrangement reflected authentic traditional Bangladeshi cuisine as well.

Aussie NSUers Association is relentlessly working for a decade to strengthen the ties between Australian and Bangladeshi communities with cordial support and participation of alumni members and families of North South University Bangladesh, and they are looking forward to an even stronger relationship in future. The association wishes Bangladesh to continue developing economically, culturally and equilaterally to uphold the spirit of freedom and independence.
