We all know that Maqsood and his team is going to perform at UNSW stage on 13 October arranged by ‘Listen For’. If you only thought that he has come here just to sing. Let us introduce him from a, different perspective.
He runs a charity and participates in seminars on mental wellbeing and openly talks about his bad days which he has overcome through such efforts. He writes articles for mental awareness and openly against using the word “mad “ for people facing a difficult time.
He was happy to attend the World Mental Health Day seminar arranged by Nobodharanews. Come and spoke at length why it is important to be aware of other people sign of distress and the hidden call for help.
So please do come to the Bangladesh Night and greet this great Bangladeshi man who not only plays music for entertainment but also has put his heart for people who needs a lot of mental support. Let us support him and let him know Sydney stands beside him and show him our support for his magnificent work and send a message to our own country that Sydney is with them and they are not forgotten.
A strong support will encourage more people like Maqsood to come forward to combat this silent killer.
Feedback is a Bangladeshi band, formed on 1976. In 1995, they were awarded best band for their album Jai Jai Din. They have some popular songs like- Aye Din Chirodin Robey, Ak Jhak Projapoti, Jhau Bonay, Udashi, Moushumi 1 & 2, Kemon Korey Hai, Janala, Majhi, Melay Jairey, Bidrohi, Geetikobita 1 & 2, Abar Mela.
In 1996, lead vocalist Maqsoodul Haq left the band and formed a new band ‘Maqsood O’ Dhaka’ in 1997.
